Case Study: KLA Tencor
KLA Tencor's "Virtual University"
 |
KLA Tencor is a leading equipment and software manufacturer whose
products are used in the production of computer chips and related
hardware. KLA Tencor selected Pinnacle as the core of its internal
"Virtual University," a unique program that allows employees to
access a wide range of information and training programs from
providers such as EMC and SkillSoft.
Because Pinnacle is an open system, it is the perfect tool for
managing the vast amount of information present in a corporate
virtual university. Pinnacle allows KLA Tencor to integrate
several different systems into a single program that can
distribute and track all the company’s training information.
KLA Tencor initiated Pinnacle as part of a pilot program to help
integrate its PeopleSoft HR systems, its own proprietary Virtual
University front end, and all its existing courseware. The system
delivers training to employees, partners, and distributors. KT has
over 6,600 PLM licenses and because of the high level of success
it is having with Pinnacle, the company plans to expand its
learning initiatives. |
