Learnframe Press Release
Learnframe™ Announces the Appointment of Their “Father of Open Technology” to Senior Vice President
Learnframe’s open connectivity credited to James Linton

DRAPER, UTAH, May 3, 2001 -- Learnframe™, the leading developer of KnowledgE-Commerce™ and e-Learning infrastructure technologies today announced the promotion of James Linton to Senior Vice President.

Mr. Linton’s involvement in three successful startup companies has supplied him with a wealth of insight that has proven invaluable to the evolution of Learnframe. He recommended the product design, marketing plan and business strategy for the Pinnacle™ and Nebo™ product lines, which both have the potential to become de-facto standards in the e-Learning industry due to their open connectivity and immediate integration capabilities.

“Our open connectivity to diverse courseware types and third party sources has been a byproduct of Jim Linton’s conceptual innovation—he is the father of our open technology approach to e-learning,” said Mike Memmott Sr., CEO and Chairman of Learnframe. “He brings extensive strategic marketing experience to the Sr. Vice President title and will be instrumental in presenting Learnframe’s vision to investors, managing special projects and strategizing to maintain our leadership in this fast-growing, multi-billion dollar corporate training industry.”

Before joining Learnframe, Mr. Linton spent nine years at Novell, Inc. in various high-level positions including Vice President of Major Market Sales, Executive Assistant to the President of Novell (Ray Noorda) and Director of Channel Management. His responsibilities during his tenure at Novell included the orchestration of worldwide sales and marketing programs for all major accounts and assistance in overall corporate, product, sales, marketing, acquisitions, partnering and co-opetition strategies. Prior to Novell, Mr. Linton joined IOMEGA Corporation at its beginning and held executive, marketing and sales positions.
