Draper, UT October 6, 2000 Learnframe™, a leading developer
of e-Learning infrastructure technologies, today announced the completion
of phase two of its integration of the Pinnacle Learning Manager™ (PLM)
with Skillview's Skills Management Software. SkillView is an innovator
of products that support skills management and has been using Learnframe's
learning management system (LMS) to help its customers increase the skill
level of their employees.
SkillView provides companies with the ability to analyze their employee's skill levels and recommend curricula that would resolve deficiencies or prepare the employee for advancement. SkillView's Skills Management Software performs a skills gap analysis comparing an employee's current skill level with a desired or required level. The program then recommends the appropriate courses that will help him reach his goal. PLM allows the administrator and user to follow through with the recommendations by launching the appropriate courses and providing the means to track and report the results.
"Recommendations for skills improvement are not effective without an integrated learning management system," said Curt Kanahele, Director of Software Development at Learnframe. "Likewise, a learning management system alone will not help users elevate their skill levels if they do not know what courses to take. A skills analysis tool coupled with an LMS will greatly increase the return on investments because there is a specific, targeted education plan."
This strategic integration is now so complete that the administration of common data between the two systems is managed with a single tool.
According to Kanahele, "This improved integration with SkillView greatly increases an organization's ability to develop employee skills. It is now far more convenient for administrators and users to track and manage their results, effectively closing the skills gap within their companies."
SkillView became a strategic partner of Learnframe and reseller of PLM in December of 1999. Learnframe provides the only LMS integrated with SkillView's Skills Management Software.
"SkillView and Learnframe have integrated to form a compelling product, a powerful, open-architecture LMS with robust skills management capabilities," said Hank Riehl, Founder of SkillView. "Now organizations serious about providing learning for their employees have a total, beginning to end solution."
