Draper, UT- August 15, 2000 - Learnframe, the leading developer of e-Learning infrastructure technologies today announced the purchase of AdminSTAR™, from ITC Learning Corporation for $4 million.
According to Learnframe's CEO and chairman, Mike Memmott, Sr., by adding AdminSTAR -- and its Instructor-Led Training (ILT) management tool with its powerful resource management capabilities and the leading-edge skills management package, that includes skills evaluation and assessment -- to their open architecture and e-commerce learning technology, Learnframe now can claim the corporate enterprise advantage.
"We have, without a doubt, the most extensive and cost-effective family of e-learning solutions available anywhere," said
Memmott, Sr.
The purchase of AdminSTAR brings an impressive client list including over one million collective employee learners from NASA, Coca Cola, Georgia Pacific, Anheuser-Busch, Whirlpool, Michelin, UUNET, Department of Defense, Shaw Industries, Blue Cross/ Blue Shield and other Fortune 500 companies, to Learnframe's innovative e-Learning infrastructure platform solution.
"Learnframe's purchase of AdminSTAR is an important and strategic move for both companies, " said Christopher E. Mack, president of ITC Learning. "ITC will now focus its efforts on the further development of learning solutions. The integrity of AdminSTAR will be preserved through Learnframe's talented team of developers and managers, and will be utilized by a growing number of enterprises worldwide. We look forward to a continued partnership with Learnframe."
Learnframe's acquisition of AdminSTAR follows the announcement last week that ITC will be distributing a private label version of Learnframe's learning management system, Pinnacle Learning Manager™ (PLM.)
Learnframe is the developer of Pinnacle Learning Manager™ (PLM), the leading learning management software (LMS) for technology-based training (TBT) and a growing line of line of e-Learning infrastructure technology products, hosted services, and customer learning centers. This acquisition further solidifies Learnframe's position as the single-source solution for all e-Learning needs. Learnframe now offers the full spectrum of e-Learning products, technologies, content, and tools in both traditional and electronic formats.
