Draper, UT, February 15, 2000 - The Pinnacle Learning Manager™
(PLM), the leading training management system with unequalled connectivity,
recently passed an extensive validation test conducted by a third-party
testing facility.
In order to prove its unique functionality and scalability,
Learnframe*, developer of PLM, contracted with KeyLabs, an independent
testing laboratory, to demonstrate PLM's robust technology and capability
to support an enterprise with a user population of 300,000.
TEST RESULTS: During the KeyLabs validation, test scripts
were run which simulated 3,900 users concurrently using the Pinnacle Learning
Manager.
PLM passed this extensive test with no failures. No other LMS product
has undergone such validation testing.
OFFICIAL TEST SITE: The testing was conducted in December
1999 and January 2000 at KeyLabs testing facility in Lindon, Utah. KeyLabs
is the IT industry's premier e-commerce testing facility. Services provided
by KeyLabs include e-commerce stress and security testing, performance
analysis, scalability analysis, and proof-of-concept testing. Their customers
include Sun Microsystems, Cisco, Compaq, IBM, Novell and Microsoft. Details
on KeyLabs' facility, processes and services can be found at www.keylabs.com.
"PLM is the only learning management tool which has
been proven by a third party to support such a large user population and
perform flawlessly the wide range of functions inherent in PLM,"
said Alan Brown, Chief Technology Officer for Learnframe*. "No other
tool has been so heavily scrutinized. We are proud to have developed a
tool of such sound quality and functionality."
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor
Statistics, "BLS Report on the Amount of Formal and Informal Training
Received by Employees", employees of U.S. corporations spend an average
of twenty-seven hours per year in training activities.
With the Pinnacle Learning Manager's proven ability to support
3,900 concurrent users, and the fact that employees train an average of
twenty-seven hours per year," said Ron Sanders, Vice President of
Marketing and Product Development for Learnframe*, "it can be logically
extrapolated that the PLM can support an enterprise user population of
300,300."
For enterprises spanning multiple time zones or with employees
that take courses after hours, this number will increase. The scalability
and capacity analysis performed by KeyLabs demonstrated that the PLM can
safely support the training management requirements of the largest enterprises.
