Learnframe*, the leading developer of training management software announces
their strategic partnership with SkillView Technologies, Inc., an innovator
of products that support Skills Management. Learnframe's* PLM, an open
architecture program that delivers the widest selection of courses in
the training industry through its superior integration capabilities combined
with SkillView's skills management software will provide two-way integration
via hyperlinks. This partnership will greatly facilitate critical skills
training for a company coping with the skills shortage by expanding its
e-learning capabilities and training bandwidth.
The SkillView application assesses user skill gaps and provides them
with a selection of learning events and courses to help close this space.
After a course is selected, PLM is launched as the mechanism by which
the course is delivered and the student's progress tracked. Users have
unlimited choices of courseware and management efficiency as PLM works
with virtually any courseware without requiring changes to the CBT or
administration software. One database then manages registration, scheduling,
delivery, scoring and data reporting. PLM offers students and trainers
24-hour access to curricula, instructions, tests and scores. Conversely,
users of PLM have integration with SkillView in order to perform skill
assessments after completing training.
According to Learnframe* president Gary Tobian, "We are thrilled about
this relationship with SkillView because it is one of the top skills management
players and has an excellent client roster. Also, integration with the
SkillView application, whether within the software or over the Internet/intranet,
is easy because SkillView is very customizable and has excellent web-based
capabilities. This partnership has created a tool for companies to deal
with the skills shortage problem, a problem that analysts, such as Forrester,
have claimed is one of the biggest challenges facing companies today."
