Since its beginnings as a courseware developer in 1992, Learnframe realized
the biggest challenge for users of CBT was not finding appropriate courses
for employee training, but rather finding a way to centrally manage all
of the different types of courseware in the market place. Resolving this
dilemma became Learnframe's mission and the foundation of its innovations
in e-Learning technology.
After initially introducing an authoring tool and creating courseware,
Learnframe created Pinnacle,
an open architecture learning management system that integrates any courseware
or third-party application on the market. Pinnacle is Learnframes
flagship learning management system that manages and measures your entire
learning process. Pinnacle provides the tools necessary to integrate scheduling,
delivering and measuring success of curricula comprised of thousands of
courses produced by a variety of vendors.
Learnframes newest product is Nebo
with KYSO Technology, a next-generation e-Learning Platform
that includes tools and infrastructure necessary to build learning solutions,
as well as an out-of-the box Learning Management System. Nebo acts as
a universal platform to provide a central point of access and management
for all your learning solutions. Since Nebo is built entirely on Java
and Enterprise Java Beans, it harnesses the power to provide cross-platform,
scalable learning solutions and organize learning for ease of access to
personalized learning for your employees, partners and customers. Nebo
has patent-pending KYSO Technology what Learnframe calls
their secret sauce or the essence of component-based architecture.
The Learnframe Learning Center
is an e-Commerce front end that provides web-based content delivery, hosting
and re-branding services as well as one of the largest online libraries
of CBT courses on the market. It also includes a modularized set of connections
that act as data interpreters to manage many different vendors courseware
and applications in a central database. The Learning Center is the solution
to KnowledgE-Commercethe point where e-Learning and e-Commerce
converge.
While its competitors claim openness, only Learnframe’s architecture,
with its patent pending technology, has proven to be truly open by the
number of courses from which Learnframe can launch, manage, and measure
the success of learning. Only Learnframe’s architecture has proven its
ability to quickly and seamlessly integrate best-of-breed solutions like
skills management, collaboration, assessment, and HR systems, etc.
Learnframe is committed to supporting current and emerging standards,
like AICC, SCORM and IMS. While standards are encouraged and easily supported,
Learnframe doesn’t require standards in order to work with courseware
or applications. In fact, no changes are required at all to the courseware
or applications in order for them to be launched, measured, and reported
in any of Learnframe's products.
Learnframe’s open architecture will also make it easier to support new
learning initiatives like Re-usable Learning Objects (RLO) and Microsoft’s
Learning Resource iNterchange (LRN).
